Real name Manuel Jeannin, Manuel Ferrara was born in Raincy, France, to a father who worked as an electrician and a mother of Spanish origin who worked as a cleaner. He grew up in Gagny in a modest environment. His father died of throat cancer when he was only 17 years old.
